Flightcell Pro
Flightcell Pro is the interface that lets you connect virtually any communication or audio device through to your headset or helmet to enable simultaneous hands-free communication in an aircraft or any high-noise environment.
Unlike cheap imitations however, Flightcell Pro is not just a cellphone connector. It contains microprocessor controlled electronics and sophisticated EMI immunisation technology that boosts audio volume and clarity, providing quality audio to the user.
The latest model includes an interactive menu and LCD panel providing quick and easy access to all of the features, and the ability to totally customise your Flightcell's settings to suit your needs and then save them.
Connect your communication devices
Flightcell can be used to interface virtually any communications or audio device:
- Cellphones: compatible with nearly all cellphone models
- Satellite phones: Flightcell is optimized for the Iridium 9505 satellite phone, and can be used with other models.
- Hand-held transceivers: You can connect and operate aviation and non-aviation radios through your headset*. (Please read footnote on lead times and availability)
- Audio recorders and cameras
- Other audio sources: Connect your iPod or CD/MP3 player, a laptop computer or other specialised audio recording or monitoring equipment.
Flightcell can support the connection of a second headset via an optional cable to provide a dual VOX two-place intercom. The second user can be connected to or isolated from radio and phone communications as required.

Applications
Flightcell Pro provides the functionality and connectivity - you reap the benefits:
Commercial pilots: Stay in touch with customers while you fly, arrange your next job, or call home to advise when you'll be home for dinner.
Search and Rescue: Using your cellphone through your headset, you can communicate directly to the control centre, people on the ground, or to specialist support or medical staff. Not just limited to the pilot, support crew using a cellphone can call ahead for medical assistance for injured patients en route.
Emergency communications: Flightcell can operate independently of your aircraft sytems, enabling you to use your phone in the event of radio failure, as well as outside the aircraft.
Music: Listen to your favourite tunes from your iPod, MP3 or CD player in high-quality, amplified stereo sound.
Ground-based ATC clearance: Some pilots find it hard to communicte with ATC when they are still on the ground. With Flightcell they call call in for clearance using their cellphone in the high noise environment of the aircraft cockpit.
Flightcell Pro comes in many different models to meet the needs of most aviation users, as well as ground based applications. Models currently available are GA/Civilian (stereo), Bose panel powered (stereo), Helicopter/NATO and Low/dual impedance for Military.
Flightcell have also developoped panel mounted Flightcell DZM integrating your Sat/cell phone fully into the ICM, also providing panel dialling and flight tracking. Please contact us for further information on this option.
*Please note a Push to talk lead for handheld transceivers must be custom built and not all transceivers are compatible. Wiring information is needed from the Manufacturer and lead time for custom build is 1-4+ months.
